A Mayaguez Puerto Rico beach has wonderful sunsets, sand, rocks and water, sea winds, beach volleyball, music and the occasional boardwalk loaded with amusements.
If you're interested in seclusion, however, keep in mind that many of the more crowded Mayaguez Puerto Rico beaches are popular for good reason. If you're looking for an active, social atmosphere with plenty of convenient services, try one Mayaguez Puerto Rico beach that is larger.

Mayaguez beach - where dreams become true vacations
Playa Brava is not a very visited beach but it is a really good beach. The way the water meets the coast beats anything. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Puerto Rico is a good place for beach folks. We all need to get down to the beach once in a while and Playa Brava in Mayaguez County, Puerto Rico is a really good place to spend some time. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the things you can do are fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking, so running out of stuff to do won't happen. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the beach if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick in summer. There's great hiking along the Camino del Faro and taking a little trip to nearby Punta Caigo o no Caigo is a great idea. Great hiking is available along the Camino del Infierno and Playa Uvero is quite near if you're in a beach type of mood. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Playa Brava, Camino del Diablo is a good local trail and why not go to Punta Los Ingleses also while you're here. On a nice day it's a great idea to spend the day at Playa Brava and since you're here you might as well check out Valle de Yabucoa. But wait, there's more to do around Playa Brava. At Playa Brava the summertime highs are in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. Highs in winter are usually in the 80's and overnight lows at Playa Brava in winter usually get into the 60's. Playa Brava gets lots of water, September is the month that gets the most rain and February is when it's the driest.
